A Second Shooters View (From Cristy & Bens Wedding)
October 18, 2009
While working my way through one of my lastest weddings, I picked out a couple of gems and thought I would give you all a look.
They are all from my Fabulous Second Shooter Ryan Lawson, who is really “hitting it hard” with his Canon 40D and my Sigma 30mm /1.4 lens.
Like I said a while back, the boy has talent, and so, credit where credit is due.

Stunning work, wouldnt you say…??!!

My Melbourne 6
October 17, 2009
I shot this one last week, again while returning from a client meeting. The clouds are what made me pull the car over… I just had to wait a few minutes for a train to complete the image. I just love it when things come together like that.

From Cristy & Bens Wedding – Shaving the boys – Part II
October 16, 2009
This is part 2 of “Shaving the Boys”.
I captured so many great shots at John The Barber’s that I found I just couldn’t fit them all into one post.

I have to admit, it was a whole lot of fun, and I would like to thank both Cristy and Ben for the opportunity to document that part of their day, I would like to thank the rest of the groomsmen for putting up with me, and finally the really awesome staff at John the Barber’s for allowing me to get up close and personal with them and their work !!
Thanks all !!!!!
And as promised, a sneak peek at the girls coming soon!!

From Cristy & Bens Wedding – Shaving the boys – Part I
October 15, 2009
OK, so here we go, back to blogging a little more regularly again !!
These are a few images of the boys at the Barber, from Cristy & Ben’s wedding. I have to admit I was excited when I found out I would finally get to photograph the ritual barber shop shave!! ”You were excited about it”, I hear you ask… Yes I was!! So much so, I went and hired a Canon 24/1.4L lens, for the weekend, as I knew that “John The Barber” was a nice little shop in Watton street with not a great deal of room to move around in.
And as a side note, I fell in love with the 24L Lens and ordered one the same day I sent the rental back.

Stay tuned for Shaving the Boys – Part II

Melbourne Wedding – Image of the Week (24)
October 15, 2009
I am a little behind in my blog posts, but here are a couple from Cristy and Ben’s recent wedding. And isn’t she Cute !!

The Flowergirl - I just love the big puppy dog eyes !!
I always find it easy to get along with kids, maybe because I have a similar maturity level… or maybe because we have 6 kids of our own… I don’t know.

My philosophy is always to let them be themselves.

I shot this a few weeks ago while driving back through the city after an evening client meeting. Crazy patterns of the light and shadow on a path that winds through Fitzroy Gardens, it really grabbed my attention.
