Photographers get sick too…
November 13, 2009
No, I am not sick… well at least not in the normal sense of the word… but I just thought I would point out a blog post from the talented Geelong wedding photographer Meaghan Cook, about a recent wedding where… well… I guess its best for Meghan to tell the story…
Here is a quick quote from Meaghans Blog,
You know the feeling. After a restless night of sleep you wake up and every inch of you hurts. Even your eyelashes. You don’t move in your bed as you assess how big the truck was that your body is telling you you’ve been run over by. And if you’re really lucky, your stomach starts to churn, you get all hot, you sweat, then you have to bolt to the bathroom because last night’s dinner is on it’s way up.
So there you have it, and please feel free to comment where ever you like !!

Hip to be Square – Disco Style!!
November 4, 2009
I figured the title might confuse a few of you out there in Blog reading land, which is good, because thats the way I like it. And so, in the spirit of confusion, and to milk the most out of that look on your face as I can, I will tell you a tale.
It’s true, I am a wedding photographer, and getting to meet crazy people who live to be themselves is one of the things I really love about what I do. And I would have to say that Tanya and Angus are certainly that type of people!! I first met with them in Mid May this year, and was pleased to hear that Photography was something that they valued highly as Tanya is a buddy photographer. Ok, so she shoots Nikon… but we can’t all be perfect !!
Anyway, we spent a long time chatting about all sorts of stuff, including their wedding, and they had some cool ideas for their Engagement shoot, ideas that I really liked!!
Now, getting time to organise it all and having everything come together wasn’t easy, especially considering how busy we have been, but it finally happened. I got an email from Tanya confirming the meeting time and location, and a request to have it shot in Square format, yeah thats right… Square !! How cool is that?!!
You might recall a while back that I blogged about how much I love Square format images, so I was more than a little buzzed!! But there is so much more to this tale than that, because you see, Tanya and Angus are Land Rover Discovery owners and enjoy taking the “Disco” off road every chance they get. So an engagement shoot involving a little 4×4 action was certainly on the cards!! But of course, why stop there? Tanya then went to the trouble of getting a replica of her dress made as well !! This was getting better by the minute!!
All I can say is that I LOVE the awesome clients I get to work with !!
So, we met in Yarra Glen at 10am, and headed off into the hills for a little fun and excitement!!
The following slideshow is kinda how the day unfolded.
