Who is Robb Duncan…?? Well now, where do I start?
I guess it could be stating the obvious by saying I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer… But I do like to state the obvious every now and then and have even been told at times that I talk to much! Apart from that, it seems I am the number one Robb Duncan in the world according to google… which I find highly amusing and for all intents and purposes, irrelevant… but its a fine conversation starter, if I find the need for one.
The best part about having a blog is that in essence I dont actually need an about page, because you can easily read a few pages and get to know the real me. Its fair to say that I find the concept of an “about” page kind of amusing really. Maybe I have read a few too many about pages over the years, because for the most part people come across as idiots, or even worse if its written in the 3rd person… as it sounds like it was written by their mum… (yeah, you know what I mean right??)
But either way, here goes.
Wedding photography. I love it!!
As a career it certainly has its rewards. For starters I get to spend more quality time with my lovely wife Narelle and our 6 great kids. Yes, that’s right, we have 6 kids, The youngest was born on the 9th April!! And yes we do own a TV… and I am proud to say that not only did we plan our babies, but over the past 4 years we welcomed 2 foster children into our family as well. Family is very important to us and we try to live by the rule that “Family comes first”.
I feel really fortunate that I have the opportunity to work in the field I do. Of course it takes talent and drive to succeed, and some long hours and even a few sleepless nights, but the satisfaction I gain every single day is beyond measure.
I quite simply love my job.
While I photograph many of my weddings in the Melbourne and Geelong area, from Torquay to Healesville and Bacchus Marsh to the Mornington Peninsula, I can and do travel if the opportunity presents itself. I have been lucky enough to photograph weddings across regional Victoria, in beautiful cities like Ballarat and Bendigo, and have even flown to New Zealand for a number of destination weddings as well. Like I said, I love my Job.
