Happy Fathers Day

Just a quick post to say Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad’s out there !!

& HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD.

Love ya.

Jogging Photography VI

As a Wedding and Portrait photographer I actually spend more time at my desk or behind the wheel of my car than I do behind a camera. But as long as the music is good, I don’t have a problem with that. Now here is the catch, my wife is a good cook, and well, I do like my food…

You can see where this is heading right??

The end result is… well.. I am “spreading a little, so to speak and I am not overly impressed with the situation.

And while I will admit that I have not been jogging EVERY morning, I am still putting in an effort and I think I can almost see a Gym membership with my name on it…

Here is another early morning Jogging Photography image.

More Melbourne Zoo

I should have known that posting only one image from the Zoo yesterday would not have been enough, I just should have known !!

A request for Cats, not a problem Melanie, here they are.

And just a quick note – You know, some people actually think Zoo’s are bad or sad… but I believe their Education, Conservation and Research value is beyond measure.

Melbourne Zoo

You know there are many things I love about my work, and scouting photo locations is near the top of the list.

Even if I have shot a number of weddings in a location or venue before, I always like to check close to the wedding date to see if anything has changed. And of course I always have a camera handy.

When a client chooses a location or venue thats a little different, like Rachelle and John who chose the Japanese Gardens at the Melbourne Zoo, I make a special trip a few months before the wedding date. The Melbourne Zoo is a “tough” location, and  its fair to say I might have to go back to a couple of times, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything !!

The colour of this guy just blew me away.

Beside the Lerderderg

I love to photograph almost anything… I guess you have noticed that by now… This is my life.

Beside the Lerderderg

Landscape photography is something I find relaxing, a stress relief as well as a creative outlet and you don’t ever have to travel far to find something.

I tell you what, the web version of the above image just doesn’t do it justice.

Jogging Photography V

A week or so ago, you might remember I jogged along the Altona beach front… Well, I went back for another go, there is no such thing as too much of a good thing is there…??

So here is another one from Altona near sunset.

Big Rock

Just a couple of landscape shots from our recent trip to Big Rock in the You Yangs.
It was a beautiful clear winters afternoon, there was a little texture in the clouds, and the light was gorgeous, perfect for photography.

One night in Prahran

Early on this evening, I had a few minutes to spare before a client meeting in Prahran, and so I captured a few images before the rain told me to put the camera away. I just thought I would share these with you.

It does to me, if thats any conciliation.

Winding Road

You know how I love to share those random images that I stumble upon as I wander about the place, right? And we both know its not Wedding or Portrait Photography, but its the best way I know of for you to get to know me and my photography.

By Robb Duncan - Wedding Photography in Melbourne and Geelong

I could have written something about the “hard road ahead”, or the “journey of life”, or something else equally as poignant. The trouble is, my head is really not in “that space” right now. So you will have to make do with the image information instead :)

But thanks for reading anyway!!

Jogging Photography III

You have just got to love those crisp winter mornings, doesn’t it feel great to be alive?!!

I was just wondering… Are you supposed to tip your bowler hat as you pass??

Crossing Brooklyn

I just walked in the door, and remembered I have not written a post today… so here is a quick grab shot I captured on the way home tonight. I know its not Wedding or Portrait Photography, but I like it… And like the Zebra… It is, what it is.

Jogging Photography II

You might remember a few days ago that I mentioned how I love to exercise my creative muscles and shoot other things besides Wedding and Portrait Photography. Well, I also need to exercise the rest of my body, so I have been randomly partaking in some Jogging Photography in an attempt to keep fit.

And lets face it, what’s the point in jogging with a camera if you are not going to share the photos right?

So here is one from a little jog along the river yesterday morning.
