The idea was to capture something with a little of flavor from Jocelyn and Simon’s local neighbourhood… I guess you could say a little urban edge…

A Very Muddy Engagement – Land Rover Monthly Magazine

You all remember these images from the awesome e-session of Tanya and Angus right?!!
Well and truly covered !!
And you know how much they loved the session right? Almost as much as I did !!
Well, Tanya and Angus decided to share the session with the world by writing a little letter to Land Rover Monthly Magazine.
And they asked if they could include some images, which of course I was more than happy to supply !!
Anyhow, I just found out via facebook that the letter was published in this months Magazine, How awesome is that?!!

Rachelle & John – Melbourne Engagement Session – Part 2

Tuesday was a great day. After spending an hour or so with Stylist Megan Budge, we ventured forth to Hedgeley Dene Gardens to have some fun (see previous post).
About 45minutes later we all stopped for a bite to eat, where I had a roast beef and salad sandwich on wholemeal bread and a lemonade. Then we moved on to the second location, the drains at Kooyong, for something a little different.

Rachelle & John – Melbourne Engagement Session

It was John’s last minute idea to go to Hedgeley Dene Gardens in Malvern, for the first part of the shoot, and it was perfect !! The location was awesome, the light was just gorgeous, and these two were just so damn cute together!!!.

A Hair and Makeup Trial

I love what I do, I get to photograph some really cool stuff, but over the years I have never had the opportunity to photograph a Hair and Make-up Trial. Probably because its not the most obvious thing for a wedding photographer to actually be invited to… Until today !!
I had the absolute pleasure of spending the morning with Stylist Megan Budge and one of my Awesome November Couples, Rachelle and John.
Rachelle was smart enough to time their engagement session with her Hair and Make-up trial, so she would look even more awesome !! Now thats called thinking ahead !!
And I know you are dying to see them, so here are some of the images !! (16 actually!!)

Rachael & John – Engagement Session

An Engagement Ring

This one could easily be an “image of the week” and I love the fact that it has a wedding feel about it, even though its an Engagement Session image.
(The session is a secret surprise !! So I can’t share any other images yet !!).
I love what I do, and I love the awesome and quirky and at times crazy people I get to meet and photograph !!

Michelle & Jorden – Torquay Engagement Session

I had the joy of meeting Michelle and Jorden in Torquay a week or so ago to shoot their Engagement Session and I have to admit, I do love Torquay.
And I can’t wait to shoot their Wedding in November !!

Geelong Engagement Session – Image of the week (19)

Ok, so I have a lot more work to catch up on than I realised, But I though I would share a shot from my weekend engagement session, shot at John’s family farm, just out of Geelong. It was Cold and Windy… and well, actually it was very cold. And did I mention it was windy?

Rachael and John's dog Marble - on the run !!
Marble provided the entertainment for the afternoon and made sure every pose and camera angle was thoroughly inspected before I pressed the shutter.
Not bad work for a little dog that is still recovering from an operation !!

E-Session – Gary and Michelle (+ Sam)

I recently had the pleasure of travelling to Briars Homestead, near Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula to shoot Gary and Michelle’s wonderfully laid back Engagement Portrait Session. They were accompanied by Sam and a few hundred flies (I don’t think the flies were Sam’s Fault…

Adrian & Annette’s E-session

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Adrian and Annette in the heart of Melbourne to shoot their Engagement session on Thursday evening last week and I have to admit I had a blast.
They were nervously cute together, but it didnt take long before I had them smiling at my “half crazy, dark alley, rubbish bin climbing antics”. I cannnot wait to shoot their wedding at Point Cook Homestead in November !!
