Image of the Week (3)

Image of the week is a regular blog post running every Friday (hopefully, this is only the third post… so who knows !) with the aim of showing you something a little different.

Here is this weeks Image, shot last night when Ryan (my assistant) and I took a quick trip to Newport Skate Park.

Newport Skate Park action - By Werribee Wedding and Portrait Photographer Robb Duncan

Newport Skate Park action

And for those that are interested, it was captured by :-

Canon 5D & Canon 70-200mm/2.8 IS  @ – ISO100 – f/2.8 @ 1/1250sec

And you are right, its not Wedding Photography, or Portrait Photography… So why did I shoot it? Well, 3 reasons really.

Firstly, my young assistant Ryan has a real passion for Skate photography and its always good to shoot things you love.

Secondly, Skate is not something I regularly shoot, so its good to break out of my comfort zone and…

Thirdly,  I got to play. Shooting a lot of different images in a low pressure environment.

So there you have it. Oh, and please feel free to comment :)

Dave - Good work. I can see a bride doing that, can’t you?

Ryan - Hey Robb nice pictures cant wait to go
back and do some more skate shoots with
you

All Hail Hale? - This could have done with a little more flash output although I concede the time of day might not have allowed for an increase due to high ambient light levels.

Did that sentence really come out of my mouth? Nice shot mate.

robbie - yeh thats a mad as shot canr wate to see the others

peter - not bad for a wedding photographer :)

Nathan - yeah still a little work to go, but thats gettin closer. nah you got the skills.
