My awesome assistant Ryan attends a local community college and we were recently asked to shoot the ID photo’s for the various classes.
Its something I have done before, and its not a difficult task, but it can take a little time if people are not organised… So we made sure they were organised !! And they are a colourful group, which made it enjoyable. It was a little like a trip to the zoo, except they let you IN with the monkeys…
So, we shot 1/2 the images late on the first morning and then took the rest of the day off to play (seen some of the skate shots lately?).
I will be going back again a couple of times to get the remainder of the students from various classes, and I can’t wait !!
Here is a little sample.

I know its not the most exciting photography… but you guys are always asking what I have been up too… Well, now you know.
Shot using Canon 30D and 70-200mm/2.8 IS, an ST-E2 Controller and 3x 580EX flashes.
2 flashes into umbrellas set up Butteryfly style, and the third flash to light the background, nice and simple.
