Happy New Year everyone, I wish you all the best for the coming year, may it be all that you want it to be!!
I cheekily scheduled this post to run at midnight, so I hope it worked !!!
This is traditionally a time for reflecting on the year that has passed, and planning for the year ahead. So I guess I will get to the past first, make sense?
2009 was a year of ups and downs for our not so little family, dizzying highs and deep dark lows, but it proved that there is nothing we cannot handle with our usual calm and level headed approach to life!! And to top it all off, we just moved house twice in 6 weeks, now that was fun… NOT!!
I would say the personal highlight of 2009 would have to be that we are pregnant with our 6th child, AWESOME!! It took a little work, and it wasn’t as easy as expected, but we have a baby boy who is due in April!! 2010 is going to be a BIG year !!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my lovely wife for all her hard work during 2009, and for being my rock, standing by me 100% in everything that I do. I Love you honey, and couldn’t do this without you!!
From a business perspective 2009 has been like riding a giant wave… things just got faster and faster with every month that passed, and built up to a point that has left me totally swamped with work and new enquiries. I think that whole Global Recession thing kinda passed me by, but I am not complaining!! And so to all of the dozens of beautiful brides and handsome grooms that chose me as their wedding photographer, thanks so much for making 2009 my biggest year ever.
In fact 2009 was a little TOO big and its safe to say that at times things were beyond ridiculous. You know you have been busy when you have not been on Facebook in over 8 weeks… Thats just not right!!! And all this craziness has prompted me to make some BIG changes going into 2010. I have decided to ask some talented people to help me out and thereby streamline my business operations. I have also made the decision to limit the number of weddings I am going to shoot to just 35. This should free ME up a little more to provide my wonderful clients with a higher level of customer service, and it will give me a little breathing room as well!! So if you want to be one of the lucky 35, contact me ASAP as 2010 is already more than 1/2 booked and 2011 is now booking as well!!
Now, looking forward into 2010, I have some amazing weddings at some awesome locations, and dont get me started on the cool and crazy brides and grooms I am working with, I love you guys!!! No seriously, I do!! Not only do I have weddings at some of my favorite Melbourne and Geelong venues, but I am privileged to be traveling around Victoria little too and visiting places I dont often get to go to. Yep, I can’t wait!!
I am also working on a BIG IDEA, but I can’t tell you too much more just yet… Because its a secret. And you know what I am like with secrets!!
But once its all ready I will let you all know. And let me just say, it will be BIG!!
:)
So take care, and I will see you in the New Year!!
Love Robb
