An Ocean Grove gul in flight

I was on the beach down at Ocean Grove on Tuesday evening shooting an e-session with Jaz and Dave, and while the weather was not the best, we had a great time!! (Lets just say it was more than a little chilly with a stiff sea breeze!!) More from that shoot in an up coming post.

Anyhow, like I said I was down at the beach, and as Jaz and Dave where being all cute and stuff, I happened to grab a quick shot of this Gul as he/she cruised on by…

Gul in Flight - Ocean Grove

Image Info – Captured by Canon 5D II & 135mm L f/2.0 – ISO 100 – 1/640second @ f/3.2

The camera nerds out there among you would know from the image info that the image was shot on my trusty 5DII & 135L lens… (which by the way is a sweet combo!!) Anyway… they would also know that to fill the frame with a gul on a 5D with a 135mm lens, the aforementioned gul has to be only a few meters away. Considering the speed of the gul, this image is most definitely a happy blend of good luck and good timing.

So there you have it, feel free to comment.
