I have just this minute finished processing the images I shot 2 weeks ago while second shooting for Kristie Dutson.
It was an intimate wedding ceremony, held on the beach at Moggs Creek, on the Great Ocean Rd. The surprise for me was the Bride and Groom were staying just down the road at the iconic Pole House in Fairhaven. We just had to get some shots !!
If you have been living in a cave for the last 30 years and don’t know about The Pole House, let me fill you in. The Pole house is the vision of architect and engineer Frank Dixon, built in 1978, it sits perched on a concrete pylon on the side of a fairly steep hill and towers above The Great Ocean Road at Fairhaven.
The house itself is accessible via a narrow walkway with a wooden rail and glass panels, which is itself a treat for those who are not too keen on heights !!
Being about 30-40 meters above the beach, The Pole House offers a stunning ocean view from Airey’s Inlet right across to Lorne.
Here is one of my favorite stormy wedding images.
